Mission Statement

BioPure Fuels, Inc. has invested in a variety of start-up companies or NGO's that are now working together to offer a set of technologies, land, production capacity and feedstock processing capabilities that will lead to a highly sustainable and profitable approach to production of biofuels, low carbon fuels and high value food products.  The company is currently in the final procurement stage to purchase an existing specialty chemical facility that will be used to build a 100 million gallon biodiesel plant in Houston, Texas.   The facility will allow for US and global sourcing of vegetable oil with excellent logistics including pipeline access to a large chemical & fuels terminal and access to the main petroleum pipeline that will allow for national distribution of 5% biodiesel.   The facility and site will also be expanded in a second phase to allow for biofuel production from municipal solid waste and/or to incorporate new technologies for producing renewable jet fuel.  The company also specializes in sourcing of fuel and lubricant products that can be combined with biodiesel and biofuels to improve fuel or vehicle performance and lower carbon emissions.   The company's President, Bill Wason, has been involved in the development of biodiesel and vegetable oil projects over the last 8 years including building a biodiesel plant in California and undergoing a planning and development process for a very large biodiesel plant in Europe.   BioPure Fuels has also started up the NGO Sustainable BioBrazil, which is now working with the State of Maranhao in Brazil to develop feedstock for biofuels and food crops on several million hectares of agricultural land the State is donating to the Association.  Sustainable BioBrazil will work with local agricultural associations to plant oil seed trees and food crops between trees and grow sugar cane in connection with joint ventures with alcohol and 2nd generation biofuel producers.  Other projects in other parts of Brazil involving sugar cane, oil seed trees and other crops are also under development.  A bio-refinery and carbon sequestration project is also being proposed in connection with a major oil-refinery project in Maranhao (www.sustainablebiobrazil.com).  Low carbon biofuel and efficiency products are being promoted through an innovative "Co2 Star" labeling program that utilizes government agencies and non-profits to verify Co2 & fuel savings and then promotes fuel sales with a label at the pump defining carbon and sustainability benefits (www.co2star.org). BioPure Fuels is lowering biofuel feedstock production costs and improving byproduct value through ownership in the following companies:

BioPureOil:                                 1.2 million ton canola and camelina oil seed crush plant in Western Canada
Algeenergy:                                Algae R&D and production support services, carbon sequestration in conjunction with refineries.
Clean Green Fields:                   Low carbon / low cost fertilizer, fungus control systems and technology to enhance yields
Beau Star:                                   Glycerin and a proprietary technology used to produce an anti-wrinkle, anti-acme face cream
Agencom Brazil:                         Trading company involved in freight forwarding, ship services, trade development & biofuel projects

BioPure Fuels is also a director and strategic planner for various Brazilian and US Non-Profit Organizations:

SustainableBioBrazil:                Oil seed production from native tropical trees, intercropping of food crops (beans, vegetables), sugar cane production and use of bagasse for 2nd generation biofuels, and various activities to improve sustainability (carbon reserves, technology introduction, workshops). The objective is to demonstrate that sustainable food and fuel production can occur on land that is now underutilized to produce both high yield biofuel feedstocks (oil, sugar cane) and food.

Co2 Star:                                   Carbon labeling program for fuels, lubricants and shipping in conjunction with providing suggesting systems for delivering low carbon fuels and lubricants to market and providing market incentives for low carbon fuel use (feebates, etc.).

Urban BioAlliance:                   Working with cities and states in Brazil to develop a program for improving sustainability of their communities coupled with outreach to the global community using sister city and sister state type alliances.  Main projects involve biofuels sustainability, avoided deforestation carbon trading, donation exchanges, delegation visits, etc.
